Each season brings promises of new life and cycles of completion. You see it in nature all the time, new and old are part of the same picture. Whenever there is an end, it’s followed by a beginning. Autumn leaves fall:fruit left late on the vine rots and drops and becomes fertilizer for the coming seeds of springtime.

In Rhythm and Roots choir, we start our garden of songs with seeds of hope. Lead by our brilliant and dynamic director Karla Mundy, who guides with a light that emulates life giving sunshine. Music keeps us moving through the darkness and storms of a weary world. Our tears of shed grief nourish what we are growing, polish hearts that hurt, become a needed vessel for us to express our experience through. Music holds space and beauty emerges, vivifying the soul.
Our rehearsals are a time of tending. So that our concert can be a Harvest of joy.

We ”squee” with joy and delight as we welcome our special feature musical guests The Heartwood Trio to share the night with us.

Heartwoods’ sound and messages will have you feeling deeply , singing sweetly and leave you thinking about connection. From be longing to belonging. From you and me to we. The muse that fuels The Heartwood Trio seems to ask : what would your heart say? and invites you to explore the answers that rise in response.
