In times such as these we ask ourselves big questions and need to be soothed and bolstered by the necessary wisdom music administers to us. Music can also serve as a call to take action on behalf of peace for everyone and to sing the world we want into being. So we find ways to work harmoniously, to listen actively, to respond in kindness and with compassion, hearts open & willing. Where and when we can, we sing our parts to create something beautiful and whole.
City Soul Choir will be singing a diverse repertoire with songs that speak of hope, good news, celebration, faith, connection and longing for change. Backed by our incredible band of Michael Creber (piano). Brent Gubbels (bass), Adam Rohrlick (guitar) and Craig Scott (drums) we will move between a Brazilian samba, a Cuban prayer, celebratory South African a cappella songs, inspired Gospel compositions to fresh new music by women songwriters - Sarina Partridge, Laura Mvula, Coco Love Alcorn, Chic Gamine and more…
Join us in celebrating the medicine of music and be uplifted as we all try to walk in the light!
